What’s in your starter pack?
We’ll get you set up. You’ll have your own desk, and our Art Director, Marko, will help you with everything tech-related—from your laptop to the coffee machine.
Tip: Your colleagues’ desk decorations make for great small talk. Don’t hesitate to bring something of your own, no matter how quirky. Make yourself at home!
You’ll get access to all the tools you need.
You’ll receive your own email and logins to Slack (where we communicate), ActiveCollab (where we assign tasks), Dropbox (where you’ll store your work) and Google Calendar, where we plan meetings, workshops, and, of course, team drinks.
A buddy will guide you through everything. A colleague will be there to answer any questions and walk you through all the processes.
Tip: Ask if Marko has made his famous Georgian salad today.

You know every Slack channel by heart, and a rainbow unicorn proudly sits on your desk? Great, your acclimatization has officially begun.
Fitting in takes time—we get it. It’s tough to walk into a new team and instantly understand how things work. What seems obvious to some might leave you staring in confusion. Don’t worry—that’s completely normal! Ask anything, anytime.
Tip: Struggle with names? No stress. Our tech director, Vítek, still doesn’t remember some colleagues’ names after 10+ years. And our content lead, Marek, has so many names, you basically can’t get it wrong.
KHS is for work and for chill. Our kitchen isn’t just for heating up food—you can cook an entire meal if you want. Coffee flows endlessly, and the snacks on the table? They’re for you too, so help yourself. Need quiet for work or calls? We’ve got that covered as well.
Be yourself. At KHS, no one will judge you. Some days, the job will be tough, sometimes stressful, sometimes a breeze. Communication is key, so if anything’s up, you can always turn to our big boss, Jiří.
Tip: Our account manager, Bury, is ready to go to battle for you—literally.
KHS operates from two locations: Zlín and Prague. We generally don’t work remotely because we believe face-to-face interaction is the fastest way to solve problems and spark great ideas. That said, we understand that sometimes home office is necessary—whether it’s for school, kids, or a repair technician who can’t make up their mind. Just ask, and we’ll work it out.
We have flexible working hours, which means we need you on deck from 10 AM to 3 PM. When you start or finish your day is up to you—just make sure to clock in your 8 hours.

Health comes first. If you have a fever, stay home and rest—trust us, you’ll recover faster with soup in bed than suffering through the workday at your desk. Just give your colleagues a heads-up and leave instructions so things don’t grind to a halt.
Vacation time? You bet. The labor code gives you 20 days of leave, but we throw in 4 extra days on top. Go ahead and block out your Caribbean getaway in the shared calendar—just check first to make sure there’s nothing major happening at work where you’d be needed.
No work at Christmas + a summer break. We shut down for the holidays and usually have a short summer break, too. The best part? These days don’t count against your vacation time, so you’ll still have plenty of days left for that Arsenal match or a cozy trip to Vienna’s Christmas markets.
Planning a dream trip to Japan and 20 days just won’t cut it? Talk to Jiří—we’re flexible! As long as your work keeps moving, you’ll be slurping ramen in no time.

We’ll organize a get-together where we can exchange feedback—both the good and the constructive. We’ll chat about your future plans, your experience at KHS, and what you’ve learned. Plus, you’ll pass on your know-how to make things easier for your successor and return any company equipment.
